WWF INDIA, DIRECTOR, CONSERVATION POLICY Posted on 21 February 2013 WWF India is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to work closely with the current Director of its Conservation Programme. The position will support theConservation Director to increase WWF India’s impacts at the policy level and will work closely with a team dedicated and specialised staff at itsSecretariat in New Delhi and locations across the country. The incumbent will provide vision, strategic leadership and practical guidance to consolidate and ensure the impact of WWF India’s policy and programme initiatives. The incumbent will be expected to develop and maintain good working relationships with NGO partners, research and policy institutions andgovernment agencies and take the lead on policy initiatives at a national and state level. Donor liaison, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting as well as representing WWF India at national and international fora will also be responsibilities of this position. Interested candidates should possess a record of demonstrated leadership at a senior level and collaborative development and delivery of integratedprogrammes. Knowledge on national and international policies related to forests, climate change, water, protected areas, wildlife, and agriculture would be required, with a specialisation in one or more areas. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, the ability to manage a large and diverse team and strong commitment to WWF’s mission and values are also essential.
